Ansal Housing & Construction has launched its group housing project, Ansals Tanushree. The project is on the NH 24, Ghaziabad. The project offers 2- and 3-BHK apartments with a built-up area ranging from 1,238-1,700 sq ft. These apartments will be housed in three towers. The apartments range between Rs 29 lakh and Rs 40 lakh. Some of Ansal Housing’s earlier projects in Ghaziabad are: Neelpadm Kunj, Garden Enclave, Aavantika, and Chiranjiv Vihar. It has also developed Fortune Arcade in Noida, Golf Links I & II in Greater Noida, and Aashiana in Lucknow.
Naredco for cheap housing
National Real Estate Development Council (Naredco) is organising a National Conference on ‘Affordable Housing for All’. It will be held in New Delhi on 21 and 22 April 2008. The conference will be supported by Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Government of India and UN Habitat. Some of the other issues that will be discussed at the conference are: finance and taxation in the real estate industry, legal and regularity reforms needed, demand and supply of commercial space, use of new materials and technologies, and disaster management in housing.
Girem summit at Goa
Girem (Great Indian Real Estate March), a Real Estate and Urban Planning Leadership Summit, will be held from 14-16 May 2008, at Holiday Inn, Goa. The theme for the inaugural year is ‘Where opportunities meet’. The summit will feature exhibitions, talks, panel discussions, and culminate with the Leadership Awards for corporate excellence.

III (Interiors International India) Exhibition and Icon (India International Construction & Contracting) Exhibition will organise the fourth edition of their interiors and construction exhibition, III & ICON 2008 at India Expo Center Expo XXI, Greater Noida. The event is scheduled to be held from 25 - 27 April 2008 at. This year exhibitors from 18 countries will display their products at the exhibition.
Ireo, Ascendas for Coimbatore
Ascendas India Development Trust (AIDT), the private property development fund of Ascendas, has partnered with Ireo, a foreign investor in Indian real estate, to form a partnership for developing an integrated 53-acre project: comprising an IT SEZ and residential, commercial and other supporting spaces in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The 50:50 joint venture will be managed by Ascendas.
The IT SEZ can accommodate about 30,000 IT professionals when completed. Close to 25 acres of the 53 acres of the IT SEZ will be earmarked for residential, commercial, and hospitality. The project will be developed in four phases and is expected to commence in September 2008. It will be completed in about 7 years.
