According to SSP AK Singh, "Out of Rs 25 crore, Rs 13 crore has been sanctioned for Noida and Rs 12 crore from Ghaziabad. A total of 150 cameras will be installed at all the borders and important places of both the districts. 48 CCTVs will be movable.

There are 15 borders of Noida touching Delhi and Ghaziabad. A special control room will be established at the office of the SSP, Gautam Buddha Nagar, in Sector 14A to monitor all cameras."

"A high-definition camera will allow us to shoot clear photos. This time we are going to use optical fibre lenses instead of wireless connectivity. It gives better results and quality pictures.

All CCTVs will function 24 hours. Our special focus will be on border areas. Besides, we have informed all police stations to submit a list of sensitive public places. The list will be finalised soon," Singh added. So far, six companies have come up with their proposals.
Once the company is selected, work will be started, Singh further said.

Moreover, Noida will be equipped with a disaster van, which will be the first disaster van in Uttar Pradesh. A sum of Rs 70 lakh will be spent on interceptor vehicles.

This move will allow police to intercept the criminals quick and fast. The interceptor vehicles will be equipped with GPS technology. "So far dearth of police personnel patrolling in the city is an issue for us.

To ensure proper patrolling in the districts 20 additional patrolling vehicles will be purchased. The vehicle has not been finalised so far. Most probably it would be a Bolero.

The budget to purchase bulletproof jackets and ambulance has been passed. The work to purchase the material is underway. Hopefully by the end of next month the district police will be geared up with hi-tech machines," said a senior police officer.
