Three major power plants for Greater Noida

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to set up three mega power plants in the Noida and Greater Noida areas to meet the increasing demand of power in the fast-growing region. Each of these plants is proposed to be of 1,000-1,300 MW capacity.Huge plots of land have been identified for the purpose in Jehangirpur, Chola and along the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation chairman Navneet Sehgal has told IANS . He was of the view that each of the plants, proposed to be set up under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement, would require about 250 acres of land. A proposal in this regard has already been made to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC) which has shown keen interest in undertaking one of these projects at Jehangirpur village. पावर प्रोजेक्ट का ट्रायल शुरू

पावर प्रोजेक्ट का ट्रायल शुरू, दादरी में खत्म होगा बिजली संकट ग्रेटर नोएडा।। एनटीपीसी दादरी के फेज-2 में 980 मेगावॉट की 2 यूनिटें लगाई गईं हैं। इनसे यूपी को 80 मेगावॉट बिजली दी जाएगी। एक यूनिट का ट्रायल शुरू हो गया है। ट्रायल सफल होते ही इसे जल्दी ही शुरू कर दिया जाएगा। सप्लाई शुरू होते ही दादरी के आसपास 10 किलोमीटर तक के एरिया में बिजली संकट खत्म हो सकता है। इन यूनिटों पर जून 2007 से काम चल रहा था। ये दोनों यूनिटें कोल बेस्ड हैं। इनके लिए उत्तरी करणपुरा से कोयला मंगाया जाता है। सूत्रों के मुताबिक दोनों यूनिटें तैयार हैं। इन दोनों यूनिटों से पैदा होने वाली कुल 980 मेगावॉट बिजली में से 80 मेगावॉट बिजली यूपी के हिस्से आएगी। दोनों यूनिटों का शिलान्यास करते वक्त विद्युत मंत्री सुशील कुमार शिंदे ने ऐलान किया था कि एनटीपीसी के चारों ओर 10 किलोमीटर के एरिया तक इसी प्लांट से बिजली सप्लाई की जाएगी। ऐसा होने से दादरी में बिजली की किल्लत दूर हो जाएगी। एनटीपीसी दादरी में कोयला आधारित 840 मेगावॉट और गैस आधारित 817 मेगावॉट बिजली पैदा की जा रही है। नई यूनिट चालू होने के बाद यहां 2,637 मेगावॉट बिजली प
