HC stays construction of residential projects in Noida   Express news service   The Allahabad High Court today stayed the construction of multi-storey residential projects of nearly half-a-dozen private developers in sectors 75 and 120 of Noida, while hearing a petition alleging that the Noida Authority allotted land to private builders without formally acquiring it from the farmers. The court has given two weeks time to the respondents to file their replies. The matter will come up for further hearing after three weeks. A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Amitava Lala and Justice PKS Baghel said that the allegations made in the petition raised a question of law as to whether any public authority had the power to allot land to a third party without first acquiring it from the land owner. TIMES NEWS NETWORK Consultant appointed for NH-24 underpass Estimates & Design To Be Finalized In 2 Mths Noida: The financial bid for construction of an underpass at the Model Town crossing on NH-24 was finalized on Friday. The underpass will be ready for use by January 2014. The consultant — DIMS — appointed by the Noida Authority has been given two months' time to submit the estimate, design and feasibility report of the project. The project aims to streamline traffic movement from Noida to NH-24 via Sector 62 and towards Delhi and Ghaziabad. The technical bid was finalized a week ago on September 21. "Three companies had been shortlisted for the technical bid at a meeting on September 14. After detailed scrutiny, we have selected DIMS as the consultant. After conducting an intensive survey of the route and studying the density of vehicles, DIMS will submit a Detailed Project Report (DPR)," said AK Goel, chief maintenance engineer (civil). "

Greater Noida-Ghaziabad link to be ready soon GREATER NOIDA: Work on completing the 22km link  road  between Greater Noida's Zeta sector and NH24 is likely to start next week as Greater Noida  Authority (GNA) and  Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) claim to have cleared the remaining  encroachments  on the way. A 1.5km portion of the alignment has been pending for almost nine years now due to various reasons.  GDA on Friday said it would relocate the 50-odd farmer families who have their residential plots on the road alignment to land provided by GNA in Chipiyana village, Greater Noida, in the next 10 days. GNA had allotted 7.71 acres to GDA in July for rehabilitating the affected families.  The 130m wide signal-free road, when completed, will cut down travel time between Greater Noida and Ghaziabad to just 20 minutes. Ghaziabad Development Authority seals 170 flats in Indirapuram

GHAZIABAD: The  Ghaziabad Development Authority  (GDA) on Sunday cracked down on the Amrapali group and sealed 170 flats in Amrapali Village Apartments in Nyay Khand-II in Indirapuram for violating building bylaws. The authority has also sent a notice to the builder asking it to respond within a set time frame.  Speaking to TOI, GDA vice-chairman  Santosh Kumar Yadav  confirmed that a team had found the builder illegally constructing two towers with 68 and 102 flats inside its already existing Amrapali Village housing complex in Indirapuram. "The team found Tower L with 17 floors, having 68 flats, and Tower K with 17 floors, having 102 flats being constructed illegally," Yadav said.  "In the layout plan submitted with the GDA, the construction  company  had earmarked park and public utility in the designated spaces. However, on visiting the complex, our survey team found that there were two towers on the said location clearing violating the bylaws," Yadav said.  The

डूंडाहेड़ा डंपिंग ग्राउंड में एटूजेड कंपनी बनाएगी कंपोस्ट प्लांट Dec 13, 07:17 pm गाजियाबाद, वसं : इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट के आदेश के बाद डूंडाहेड़ा में डंपिंग ग्राउंड बनाने की कवायद शुरू हो चुकी है। नगर निगम ने एटूजेड कंपनी को डंपिंग ग्राउंड स्थल पर कंपोस्ट खाद का प्लांट लगाने की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी है। यह प्लांट पीपीपी मॉडल के आधार पर बनेगा। जबकि जल निगम की सी एंड डीएस इकाई एसएलएफ (साइंटिफिक लेंडफिल ) तैयार करेगी। नगर आयुक्त बसंत लाल ने कंपनी तथा जल निगम के अधिकारियों के साथ सोमवार को बैठक की और एक सप्ताह के भीतर हर हाल में कार्य शुरू करने के निर्देश दिए। बैठक के बाद नगर आयुक्त ने बताया कि कुल 14 एकड़ भूमि पर डंपिंग ग्राउंड बनाया जाना है। जिसमें सात एकड़ भूमि पीपीपी मॉडल पर एटूजेड कपंनी को दी है। जो इसमें अपना कंपोस्ट प्लांट तैयार करेगी। नगर निगम को इसके निर्माण के लिए कोई शुल्क नहीं देगा। बल्कि कंपनी खुद कंपोस्ट खाद बनाकर बेचेगी और अपने धन की भरपाई करेगी। वहीं जल निगम की सी एंड डीएस शाखा सात एकड़ भूमि पर एसएलएफ तैयार करेगी। ताकि वैज्ञानिक तरीके से कूड़े का निस्तारण कराया जा सके। लाल
